Yeah i'm sure Tomas Hertl is just dying to waive his NMC after only one season into his 8 year deal, He knew that the Sharks were going to be terrible when he signed it. He obviously loves the area. San Jose is a very nice town. He doesn't waive and that pathetic offer isn't even close.

SJ will be clutching onto their 1st rounders for dear life; no chance they give those away for at least a couple years since they're going to be in the lottery, likely top 5

CA bay area is nice for sure but if there was anywhere I'd think he would waive to it would be BOS for not only the awesome team but playing with Pasta.
Think if the 1st and Debrusk is dropped out and then at least a 2nd going to SJ then this deal could work. Don't know why BOS would get rid of Debrusk, but they would need to shed a bit more cap to fit Hertl because SJ absolutely wouldn't retain on that long of a contract

I’d say that SJS drops the 1st and Boston replaces DeBrusk with Coyle (if he’ll waive) and a 2nd or so. But this all depends on how much Hertl wants to move and how much Grier wants to move him. And I agree retention isn’t an option.

How is this any good for SJ whatsoever? Hertl > Swayman by a lot, so why is SJ giving up a first
