We signed him to a one-way deal. He's got I think 10 games of non-waiver AHL available because of his age, but I don't think we would offer a one-way deal if we didn't want him on the team to start the year.

Donskoi is unfortunately probably done. I think concussions got the best of him. I seriously doubt a Buffalo team that feels they are on the verge of contending sends that caliber of defenseman away with retention for a fourth round pick.

guess we can unsign donskoi and bring meyers up.

BUF has 9 NHL level dmen, and I think Lyabushkin falls out of the top 6 after the signings. Value/retention could be adjusted but there's definitely motivation to trade surplus.

I'm sure the Avs promised Meyers certain things to get him to pick COL. Since he didn't get enough games yet to get a one way qualifying offer, Meyers declined it at 854k/90k for the one way 775k guaranteed deal. It shows the Avs still believe in him too.

Exactly. And I figured what took so long on that negotiation was figuring out one-way money. He's got potential and just like Newhook, they're gonna give him the games to show that potential. If he isn't putting up at least 4th line numbers (15-25 pt pace) by December, I'll bet we send him through waivers.

My guess is that we will try to sneak Bryson & Stillman through waivers

But is plausible we move Lyubushkin for a pick though

Considering the number of injuries they had on the blue line last season I think they probably keep 2 D and 1 F in the press box, waive Bryson and if he's the worst of the 3 waive Comrie. They can address potential forward injuries with one of the ELC's in Rochester pretty easily as they have a few who are waiver exempt.

Could potentially even rotate Boosh, Joker and EJ to keep them fresh.

Maybe
But Rochester is so close that it’s very easy to call up. Defenseman whenever needed

I think 50% retained Lyubushkin could net a 3rd. I would not deal Lyubushkin however. I'd move Jokiharju over him
