Backlund is the choice over Lindholm, 8-year deal for lindholm could age poorly and either is a great "poor man's Bergeron." Backlund's extension could be 1 year at a time for bonuses like Pavelski or longer and cheaper like Jordan Staals.

LAK isn’t trading Arvidsson, especially for a 4th

NYR won’t be trading Laf, not for that anyways, drop the 2nd going to BOS and if at TDL they need a winger they might consider trading Laf if he’s still not producing as expected, but will have to up the 4th rounder going to NYR

Gryz isn’t signing long term in CGY, not a chance, and BOS doesn’t “need” Fin, so they will take a chance and see if he makes it to FA next offseason, if so try to sign him, if not then o well

The gap between DeBrusk and Laf is not in the bruins favor...
I get that laf has underproduced as a 1st overall. But he's a middle 6 wing, making an expected 2.3-2.5m, and has team rights for the next 3 years after this season.
Debrusk is a middle 6 wing making 4 million and a pending UFA.
