Does It Get Any Better

Description
In terms of staying realistic. I say this is the best team Toronto Maple Leafs can hope to be. With the defensemen additions of Peeke and Bear. The Leafs look pretty deep on defence. Most importantly. With the addition of a major depth piece down the middle. Hayton is a perfect third line centre and a great middle six option. With his acquisition, the team would now have a lot of options on how they want to structure their forward lines.

Shame to see Järnkrok go but this is a slight improvement for now and even more tomorrow. Hayton is brilliant and will fit the 3rd line like a glove

Arizona doesn’t want to accept, but I think they have to for that return. All the rest is within a round here or there so can’t nitpick, well built push.

Honestly, pretty well done on the trades! Arizona most likely won’t want to move Hayton but at that price they’d at least have to think about it! Think a team would be willing to gamble on Robertson staying healthy but maybe leafs are better off taking that bet themselves? I think Bear is super underrated and would be great on a 3rd pair there!

Hawks decline. Some team might give you a pick for Jarnkrok but it won't be the Hawks.

No chance the Hawks pay a 2nd round pick for a third line winger, they already a handful of guys to fill that role.

Jackets accept, honestly the 2nd alone is probably enough. It would be fun to see the Roberson brothers together in Dallas

The odds of drafting an nhl player in the second round is slim. With Jarnkrok you have a guaranteed 3rd line player and someone good enough to play top 6 when need be. He’s fast, and elite defensively. On a three year deal for 2 million I think the Hawks would be more than happy with the trade. It makes them a better team. He’d certainly get a look with Conor Bedard.

There’s no denying that Nick Robertson has NHL potential. We saw what he was able to do early on in the season, but Nick Robertson would be better off in Dallas. He’d certainly have more opportunities to play in the nhl. The Leafs are far too deep when it comes to forwards next year, and with Holmberg and Knies coming into the lineup. I think it only makes sense for both sides that Robertson gets the chance to play somewhere else. He might actually end up becoming legitimate full time nhl player, but it’s not going to happen in Toronto.
