Mazur will definitively be better than Soderblom and it's not that wild of a take.

It's not that wild of a take that Mazur might be better long term, but Soderblom is FAR more proven at this stage, so it's kinda silly to say Mazur is above Soderblom NOW... also, I'm really high on Mazur too, but let's be honest, his toolset isn't exactly unique, whereas Soderblom is a unicorn

I just don't think Soderblom exceeds 3rd liner, unique or not. I think that's his ceiling. If he exceeds it, I'll be happy, but I think it's a safe bet that Mazur will be better. Betting on a "now" defeats the purpose of ranking the prospects.
Older ones will typically be better.

its a wild take to think you can predict the future with certainty.

Mazurs tool set is an nhl one though. You can call Elmer a unicorn but that's if he plays and produces, until then he's just a big guy with hands who doesn't skate very well and we've seen plenty of those.

Mazur's skillset translates better into men's hockey. Soderblom's deficiencies are not easy to fix.
No need to be an ass nor need to act like it's all parity.

Yeah looks kind of thin on the right side. Buch is right handed, so he can possibly play both sides, but I think he prefers left because of one timers.

Probably splitting hairs here, my point was that right now Soderblom is the better player and therefore, in my opinion, a higher ranked prospect.

Also, I think Soderblom has a higher ceiling than that. He's still very young and bigger bodies tend to take longer to develop, so it's not unreasonable at all to think he could still drastically improve his skating.

Never realized how weak our RW prospect pool was until I saw this list! Wow! Hopefully some of those LWs can play both sides.

I think Elmer has a really high ceiling, but his floor is also low.

I don't think he was that bad last season all things considered. His points/60 even strength was higher than anyone on the team. That said, he has stuff he needs to work on, but everyone who has been following the NHL for a while knows that tall players take a good while to develop. It wasn't until last season that Ras was starting to play good, and he's shorter and a couple of years older. Tage Thompson put up 14 points in 38 games just a couple of years ago.
