Fairly sure, this contract is lower then what McLeod would have been awarded in arbitration solely based on Kurashev getting 2.25M

Good deal but issue now is gonna be bouchard

Oilers have 3.5m and Bouchard gonna command more (Baded on K'Miller and Byram bride deals)

So probs Holloway to AHL to give 4m and then Bouchard 4m x 2 years

Honestly I have no idea. I've been on vacay for the past week+, so I'm out of the loop. Nobody around the organization seems worried though.

I'm hearing that the term is done (2 years), the AAV is done ($3.9M) but they're still negotiating cash allocation (how much salary in year 1 vs year 2). I think Gagner wants the contract severely backloaded as that will dictate the QO for the next deal, making his job much easier when negotiating an extension in 2025. Holland would like less backloading.
