Unless the Canes move Skjei first, they really won’t have any interest in acquiring your Aho.

I don't think Wahlstrom and a 2nd is worth the "upgrade" from JGP to Kuznetsov. If the Isles move a package of JGP/Wally/picks it needs to be for a sniper, not a guy who, if he has a good year, might score 20-25.

Kuzy will help the powerplay and he's an elite playmaker. That means he will help everyone else more. But he's also really clutch and good in the shootout.

Caps keep kuzy before retaining 3 million for that package. I don’t think he will be moved because the caps likely won’t retain and no one wants him at full cost

Does not make sense for Wings to Trade Veleno for a 29 year fringe player

He's not an elite anything anymore. And I'm fine with adding someone that can help in a shootout (god knows they need it) but that's not worth the package you proposed.

Call me crazy if need be, but I would take this for the capitals. We get a center and a good young prospect plus a pick. Yes

Caps pass. That doesn't do anything for them.

I’d take it if the retention was less. Puts us in a worse cap situation otherwise.

I agree, the retention is the deal breaker here

He's been meh two out of the last three years and is on the wrong side of 30 to be banking on a bounceback. Plus isn't he rumored to have a problem with the nose candy? That's not going to help him get back to his previous form. I'd pass on him.
