I think Necas= Nylander is a little silly , but the difference isn't anywhere close to the difference between Pesce and Timmins

Necas had 15 fewer points, but is half the cap hit, an RFA not a UFA this summer, and he's 3 years younger than Nylander... I'd personally rather have Necas

About a 0% chance canes trade for a guy that hasn’t ever played here and then shell out 72-84 million to keep him until 35 years of age.

Since we wouldn’t do that, we wouldn’t trade Pesce and Necas in a deal where we want the guy to play a year before extending but the player can walk in FA after the year. Bad use of assets.
