Pretty sure leafs don’t need a goalie 🤦🏻, and a backup from a non playoff team to boot 🙁.

Treveling acquired Vladar while he was the GM in Calgary, i think the same thing can happen with him in Toronto. He's very high on Vladar. Leafs always need goaltending.

They don't need one now, but they still don't know what they have in Woll.

Dubas isn't giving up a top 6 F and a 1st for a superfluous LD. Regardless of an extension.

Woll is not waiver exempt so they are starting the season with him for sure. And leafs are at cap limit so no way they can bury Vladar in the minors as insurance. There is talk of them signing a vet goalie to play with marlies

A better player then Vlader. Last year proved that without a shadow of a doubt. Flames fans like to say their team is way better defensively than TO and all their goalies were worse than all the leaf goalies.

Yeah I agree 100%, the trade makes no sense. I'm jut saying they may be looking for one later in the season if Woll struggles.

I'm not saying Vladar is a great goalie. He's a decent backup, he had a 14-6-5 record. If Sutter didn't play our slow, defensive players in OT all the time he might have had a few more wins. Woll only has 9 games of NHL experience I think. So no he hasn't proven anything yet.

He was lights out in the AHL last year and was better in the NHL. He was incredibly poised when asked to start game 4 vs Florida while facing elimination and was stellar. Many goalies crumble under that pressure, the fact he didn't makes him worth taking a long look at. I bet he's the starter by seasons end.

He did look good last year, and I hope he does well. He didnt look good the previous 3 seasons though. Last year he was going into games as mostly an unknown, that'll change once he starts playing more, opposing teams will have more video and better scouting reports. Plus there's the busier schedule in the NHL who knows how that affects him.

If there was a deal in place for kuznetsov to go elsewhere, Lindholm could be a fit for the caps. I’d do this deal without Protas included, top 10 protection on the first, and with the caps being able to nail down an extension with Lindholm. Otherwise it’s just too much to give up for the caps.

Scouts and everyone said of the 3 goalies he looked the best.

In all of his starts he looked like an NHL goalie.

Even Mike McKenna said it

I have no doubt guy can play around 25 games with little issue its just a matter of how the team does in front of him

I'm glad to hear you think he'll be fine. How ever I'm not sold yet, we will have to wait and see.

Flames are not interested in Kuznetsov, I have him being traded before Lindholm.

You have to give something to get something, remember you will get assets from the Kuznetsov deal aswell.

McMichael, a first, and a second IS something. There’s too much going towards Calgary in this deal.
