I disagree again, that is a lot of assets coming back...Goyette is only 19, and was a 2n, plus what will prob be a late first and another 2nd...thats quite a good haul for Hart, who will likely be owed a raise comparable to Jarry OR MORE. Selling Hart at this stage for this price I would not hate.

Briere disagrees, flyers insiders seem to think he won’t move him unless the offer is larger

I see your point...perhaps 5yr/5M wouldn't be the worst thing for the Flyers moving forward with a vet goalie in Hart.

We haven’t had a goalie in Philly that is as good as Hart in years and people want to give him away so easily it’s comical there’s a reason guys like Helle and Hart and Saros haven’t been traded and it’s because they are worth way more than everyone on this site thinks they are

Hawks obviously decline. Why exactly does a team that's just started a rebuild trade a promising prospect and a 2nd for one year of a pending UFA? Makes no sense from Hawks perspective.

A couple of points. First, Burakovsky will be fully healed by the time the season rolls around, so he'll be in the lineup. Driedger is also healthy and will be in a battle with Daccord for the backup goalie role, so he won't be on LTIR.

Second, I'm not a huge fan of either trade for the Kraken. Wennberg might find himself on the chopping block if Wright exceeds expectations, but for the time being he's a perfectly serviceable 2C who soaks up minutes against the opposition's top forwards. I doubt Chicago is too interested in that deal anyway; they're not exactly at the point where they should be trading draft picks for veteran rentals. As for the Hart trade, I'm not a proponent of trading big packages for goalies due to their volatility; Hart's numbers may be suppressed by playing on a bad team, but in my mind he has a bigger name than actual production. He's a decent goalie but not one worth giving up premium assets for. Grubauer rounded into form down the stretch last season, and he's earned the chance to be the number one goalie in Seattle next season.

I don't think it's quite that simple. By all accounts the goalie market this offseason has been much slower than expected, and each of the most likely trade candidates have some other factors that complicate a deal. Saros is on a team that's still trying its best to win, and he's a big factor in that. Hellebuyck is on an expiring contract and wants upwards of $9M annually on his next deal, so teams are wary of trading a huge package for someone that they will have to pay large amounts of money or lose for nothing next offseason. Hart strikes me as a player whose value to the Flyers exceeds his value to other teams, so I doubt he gets dealt. In any case, goalies rarely return huge trade packages; they have tremendous on-ice value due to their impact on a team's fortunes, but the trade value of goalies is often lower than that on-ice value due to their general unpredictability in performance from year to year relative to skaters of a similar caliber.

Wennberg isn't worth anything close to what you proposed. I might even go so far to say that SEA might have to pay to move his full cap hit. Even if he does have positive value, it isn't much. Especially not to a rebuilding team like CHI.
