Interesting. I've said all along it'll be 3.5 retention and Granny. Puustinen? He's 24 but had good AHL numbers last season. We can always flip Rutta at the trade deadline. Who's Nolan Collins?

Is this a scrub who may as well be Phil Collins? Will it be against all odds for him to make it to the NHL?

I hope it's not from Friedman saying "I'm wondering if..."

I read it in the attached link. I modified the trade as they thought to include Tristian Broz and I thought that was a mistake. Plus I don't think SJS has as much bargaining power as they would like due to Karlsson mammoth contract and contact type and age.

And where does the cap space come from that they’ll need to activate Guentzel?

Collins is a RD, 19, big, 6th round pick. I've included him in mock Pens/Sharks trades before, but obviously not a significant part of the trade.

Parise for a league minimum is not the worst idea I've heard. I even would consider Kessel or Bailey. I know none of these are good options, but what other choice do we have given how our bottom 6 looks?

I totally agree. Pittsburgh would have a little room. I never thought of Kessel. Would he even come back to Pittsburgh?
