Jets would need some retention on Kub, but would be definitely interested

If they had to trade Pinto, I guess they could do worse than this, just doubt Montreal would be the team to deal with, especially trading a 1st for next season

I like Pinto, don't like him enough to give Ottawa a top 10 pick in 2024 for him though

2 cap dumps?

Anyway, CF in a vacuum here based on the answers in this ACGM :

"Sens laugh" (from a Habs fan)

"I get that Ottawa is not looking to move in from Pinto" (from a Habs fan)

"These proposals are easily rejected by both Ottawa and Chicago." (from a Hawks fan)

"Also Ottawa laughs in your face" (from a Hawks fan)

Should have kept the 1st from Calgary in 2025 I guess (will change it back)

When you make a trade, think about what the other team would actually want

Do the Habs want or need Forsberg, Joseph or Hamonic?

No so they become cap dumps

Do the habs need Pinto? No, hes a 3rd line C on the Habs currently.

So why would they pay a 1st and 3 assets who are better than the ones being given back for a 3C?

Did you open the thread I linked? It was made... by a Habs fan

I'm not even sure if I can continue discussing this if you can't realize where this idea comes from... lol

I also clearly said in the description "I am not looking to trade Pinto but just curious to see"

Just because the Sens don't want or need Nick Suzuki, he'd be a "cap dump" too? That's quite the logic.

There is a difference than a 60 point 23 year old signed long term to 3 players who are depth players. Suzuki would improve the Sens. Hamonic, Forsberg and Joseph on the Habs doesnt make the Habs better.

Also who tf cares if a singular habs fan say its a good trade. Ive seen habs fans say no to Elias Pettersson for suzuki and a 1st

Sens have no cap space as well as no spot for Suzuki, therefore he is a cap dump. Logic respected.

And to many, Forsberg would be an upgrade on Montembeault, Joseph an upgrade on Evans and Hamonic an upgrade on Kovacevic due to experience (but I'd disagree with that one)

Oh and there's also Pinto who will become an EXCELLENT NHL player and soon. The price for all that would be Roy and a 1st, which isn't as bad as you'd think considering Sens wouldn't trade Pinto for DeBrincat or Chychrun and preferred to give up high 1st round picks in both transactions

Sens would do this to fix their cap situation and recover a 1st, plus get a possible good young player in Roy.

In that thread, OP was a Habs fan, then various fans mocked the proposal saying the "Sens laugh", included another Habs fan.

This is really not the same thing as what you're saying here.
