There is a difference than a 60 point 23 year old signed long term to 3 players who are depth players. Suzuki would improve the Sens. Hamonic, Forsberg and Joseph on the Habs doesnt make the Habs better.
Sens have no cap space as well as no spot for Suzuki, therefore he is a cap dump. Logic respected.
And to many, Forsberg would be an upgrade on Montembeault, Joseph an upgrade on Evans and Hamonic an upgrade on Kovacevic due to experience (but I'd disagree with that one)
Oh and there's also Pinto who will become an EXCELLENT NHL player and soon. The price for all that would be Roy and a 1st, which isn't as bad as you'd think considering Sens wouldn't trade Pinto for DeBrincat or Chychrun and preferred to give up high 1st round picks in both transactions
Sens would do this to fix their cap situation and recover a 1st, plus get a possible good young player in Roy.

Also who tf cares if a singular habs fan say its a good trade. Ive seen habs fans say no to Elias Pettersson for suzuki and a 1st
In that thread, OP was a Habs fan, then various fans mocked the proposal saying the "Sens laugh", included another Habs fan.
This is really not the same thing as what you're saying here.
