A 2nd for a 40pt player’s RFA rights is pretty fair.

I just don't make trades with Rangers of the Leafs, as the comments section always turns into a shouting match about how their player is worth infinitely more than the "crap" that was offered. It's not worth the headache man. Rangers fans are convinced he'll be a star player and should require a kings randsom while he continues to rot on the third line not developing in any meaningful manner.

Lol I swear I have one set up for him as well! That said, there’s no way this offer is enough. Yes he’s a 40 point RFA, but he’s also a former 1st overall who’s only 21 years old, and is doing almost all his damage 5v5. McTavish is a year younger with the same stats. That offer comes nowhere close to McTavish, and same for Laf.

I’m not sure we’d be willing to give something NY would be particularly interested in. When Lunde was healthy my thought was something like him and our ‘24 2nd, but felt even that might need Henrique retained or Vatrano added, and still may not appeal to NY

Lmao not even better than an OS. Fairly confident they would bite whatever bullet to move Goodrow and match the 4M O/S than trading him for nothing. Besides, your 2nd is more valuable than Boston's so it literally isn't better than an OS.

Because there’s a huge difference between what a player is currently worth and what it’ll take to pry him away from the NYR lol

Organizational typically don’t give up on a player, let alone a 1st overall pick, after 3 season lol. Yea he’s been disappointing but Kakko looks better and so does chytil

Nail Yakupov lasted 4, and so far, their PPG stats are incredibly similar, biggest difference is Nail killed it his first season. Season 3 Laf was ahead by a paltry 0.07 ppg, for a whopping 6 point difference.

Yea but what was his ATOI per game? What line was he usually on? Who were his linemates? Did he play powerplay?

You're the one defending Laf, go look it up, I'm not doing that research for you. All you've got right now is "Whatabout-ism".

Underutilized former first overall who’s getting a bigger role this season and is gonna be cost controlled for us hell yea 🔥🔥

Really sure he’d wanna go from a playoff team to Anaheim of all places too 🔥🔥🔥
