Appreciate the cap compliant roster....but it really doesn't make the Leafs better this year. Leafs lose on ice value for this season on Mangi, Zadaorov, Lauzon trade for Nylander, Brodie, Timmins exchange.

As we’ve see with Treveling, caving to some fans demands for the type of player they’d like to see on the roster ends up making the team much worse…

How does it make a team much worse?
It took us over 15 years to win a playoff round really but Brad is making the team worse so that means we won’t make the playoffs this year!! Lol I love all the haters out there that just hate on the leafs all it shows is jealousy

You moved out Nylander and Brodie and replaced them with vastly inferior players. That makes the team much worse.

I'm not sure what to tell ya if you can't see the downgrade of going from Nylander to Mangiapane and from Brodie to Zadorov. Lauzon being a replacement level guy and just giving Robertson away really just drives the point home.

I really liked how Dubas built the team for the most part. Though they were always sunk by injury/suspension in the playoffs between Kadri/Tavares or by ****ty coaching deployment (Babs with playing his bottom F's wayy too much, Keefe's weirdly constantly putting Holl on the ice when he should've probably been a scratch).

But what I can say is that as a Ranger fan, I do like what Treveling is doing , essentially building the Leafs into a none-threat, similarly to how Lou has ruined the Isles. My GM sucks too but at least the Leafs are one less team to worry about due to self-sabotoge.

NSH declines. This is essentially NSH paying TOR to get cap compliant, and that isn't how this work. Why would NSH give TOR a serviceable defenseman on a cheaper contract and a 2nd round pick for a aging defenseman they don't need and a prospect who can't stay healthy? Just a bad trade from NSH's perspective
