It's that far off. Not only do goalies not tend to carry that much trade value (especially the way the position is trending), but what sense is it for the Leafs to bring back Saros in the deal when their window essentially slams shut by sending their 1C out the door?

Sadly, it would never happen. Toronto would ask for way too much, and a team would be stupid to give that up for a piece like Matthews (especially at that cap). I think Toronto getting one of the Top 3 goalies in the league and getting rid of one of their HORRIBLE contracts, still getting a young, capable mid-6 center with a very high ceiling and a mid-1rst is AMAZING, but Leafs fans would want too much, even if it costs them their success

Your a sens fan, you obviously don't know anything about Woll. The 2.5M they save trading Sammy and the 2.8M you already have in cap space gives you over 5M in cap space.
