As much as Seeler is over valued at times, I can;t see PHI having any interest in a straight up exchange for Timmins (who would be joining his 4th NHL team in 4 pro seasons). PHI has better options at defense.

As for Petry, theres no reason for MTL to do that deal

Leafs should have no interest in Petry ; Brodie is much better defensively which is important given Reilly & Klingberg are pretty much all offense).

Flyers would want a pick and I sincerely doubt Petry wants to stay in Canada. I think he’s heading out of Montreal before the season starts.

I'm not saying this is the move they need to make, but Brodie has proven he isn't the guy that will go in the trenches come playoff time. He can't clear the front of the net, he doesn't hit and against TB and Florida that doesn't cut it.

I don’t think Brodie had a great series vs Panthers, but outside of a handful of players (forwards or defends) how many did? Against Tampa he was good. He is still an elite defender - which is what the team needs most, Pert ain’t that.

I think it's time they put Liljegren on the top pairing. So if they move Brodie, it's for a big nasty clear the net and crush some bodies 3rd pairing d-man. imo but we all have opinions, time will tell
