You're talking about Hakanpaa, right? If so, I agree. He'd be an upgrade on Desharnais.

However, I'd rather give the ice time to Broberg. If they were to trade Kulak this might make sense as they could run a Broberg-Hakanpaa 3rd pairing, but as it stands I'd rather see Broberg at 3RD than Hakanpaa.

Can only hope DAL wouldn't do that.

Too much in the Petry deal IMO. I don't think Habs would have to include a 3rd and I don't think Dallas would need to add a second 2nd rounder. Remember Hakanpaa is worth a 3rd/4th also more than likely so its essentially Petry for a 2nd and 3rd/4th. I'd be more than happy with that. Also i think Desmith is worth a late pick at best if we're lucky. If he had value in trade, Pitt would of just traded him separately in another trade and not included him in the MTL deal.

Getting Desmith hurts them, to improve at the deadline. Desmith will have to be retained for the 3rd. But for me im good, no thank keep him.
