Well cale Makar did win the conn smythe and draisaitl set a playoff record most assists in period on one leg not only that his production didn’t really drop after getting injured McDavid who I believe played injured this year in the playoffs did see a little drop in his production

Hintz and Pavelski should get a shout. Miro too after his bubble performance, and the fact he has to deal with playing with the worst defensemen in the league on a consistent basis.

He still has outscored everybody in the world though. It's pretty hard to argue that he's not #1.

I also think Makar did a excellent job shutting down McDavid during last year's cup run.

Until we see it, he can't be considered top-10. His ability is only theoretical.

McDavid scored 3 goals and 7 points in 4 games. Nobody shut him down.

How many of those points were on the PP? I love McDavid, but watching last year, Makar defs got the best of him.

On ice at 5v5, McDavid posted 17.88 HDCF/60, which is an absurdly high rate. By contrast, MacKinnon posted 12.87 in that series. I guess Nurse shut him down, eh?
