Hawks can't decline that fast enough. And your roster is still $750,000 over the cap ceiling w/ 20 players, so there's that.

If the Hawks are retaining $35m over seven years on Jones and eating Brodie’s contract for next season, this offer isn’t anywhere close to enough.

It’s not like the Hawks have cap issues and can’t afford SJ or that he is a diminishing asset, he is just overpaid by about $1.5 - 2m per season.
