I disagree with the above, if nothing materializes in the Bruins center market, converting Mittelstadt is worth moving Ullmark. Carlo move is tough and UPL isn't really of interest to the Bruins because of Swayman, but if it's swapped for a good prospect or a 1st round pick, it may be worth it for the Bs, but the trade of Mittelstadt for Ullmark can be built around.

agreed, but maybe Krebs instead of Middlestadt too? might not be any additional return, but i think works better for Bs.
Ullmark under good contract at his current level of play (IF) he waives, carries them in to Levi end of next year. Let's them take the Ullmark/Swayman 1a/1b type route

Possibly. But if Levi comes in and does what we think he can do, why would the Sabres take on Ullmark? If thatvis the case, even of for just one year, that is money better spent elsewhere imo. Carlo everyone gets. One of the best stay-at-home D in the NHL. Even this fit depends on Jokiharju imo..... this is the make it or break it year for him in Buffalo.

Just a deal that works if a certain set of circumstances fall in place I think.

I think I remember seeing this too. Yeah this makes for a better package, but UPL is still superfluous. We could take if we thought we could flip him but I would think Buffalo just shops him elsewhere. If Carlo is involved there's gotta be a high value prospect or pick going back, and Ostlund is borderline for that designation. Kulich is obviously a done deal, if Carlo is involved, but I figure he's not up for trade. Rousek would be appealing too.

Why not? Position of strength for a position of need on both sides, it makes perfect sense. Thompson and Cozens are locked in at 1 and 2 C and eventually, they'll have prospects who have too much potential to leave out of the lineup.

Savoie, Kulich, and Krebs are not 4Cs by skillset so they need spots. And using this lineup as an example, the glaring problem for Buffalo is they have zero veteran depth, it's not a balanced team unless you bring in some maturity.

Bc even though Ullmark won the Vezina, we had him here in Buffalo & we know that he’s not actually a stud- he’s a slightly above average goalie who benefited from having a great team in front of him

Carlo would be the main piece we are after,
Ullmark would be secondary

As far as the trade goes,
Rousek could be available, but if u guys wanted him over Ostlund i think you’d be nuts. Ostlund was picked in the mid1st for a reason. I actually chose him bc i figured his 2way play would fit in with what u we’re looking for.
Regardless, we have plenty of prospects to make the deal work out.
