That's definitely good value for Tampa, but I can't see them having any interest in acquiring another RD. Sabres shouldn't have a hard time finding a trade partner if that's what it costs to acquire Joki.

i dont hate it, Barre-Boulet likely is the 13th forward so he probably is available due to lack of spot for him. If Jokiharju was a LHD then it would be alot easier of a move for Tampa to make. but Bogo is gonna be the 7th D so thats already 4 RHD on the roster.

Maybe a minor upgrade but i think just based on cap wise, Raddysh is the better option for the bottom pairing than Joki.

Jokiharju isn't available for that.
Definately Sabres should explore trading for guys like Kyle Connor

It amazes me how may Arm Chair GM's know more than Granato.
Jokiharju has played over 21 minutes per game over the past two seasons, while the two new RHD defenders played about 17 min/gm the previous season are going to push him not only down to the third pairing but to the press box.
Henri may be our vanilla (not noted for hitting nor scoring) RHD, if Granato puts his trust him, so do I.
He may not be paired with Dahlin again, but he will not be in the press box either!
Sorry about that Sabre fans, 24 yo Jokiharju already has played in at least 38 games in 5 different NHL seasons, while Krueger did not like him (who did he like?) the previous management obtained him and the current management can see a bright future for him.

He fits the the core Age perfectly. He just IMO needs to find that consistency. Even if he just stays as a 3RD I believe him and Ryan Johnson could become a good pairing. They can both skate, Johnson has a very good zone exit game and Joker likes to jump up and Johnson can be his Samuelsson.

Johnson has played maybe 1 full season in the NHL and Clifton has never proven he can play 19min consistently let alone 22 or 23min. Joker is gonna play and if they want there LD RD combos Dahlin can go to his Natural side.
