IMO - full disclosure that team would have to be willing to entertain a trade like this. i think both teams like their guys too much to ever make a sensible deal

- this is a good starting block for a trade. more may need to be added, but it's not totally out to lunch.

as for LH it's a total non starter.... it's just too soon.
if he becomes a QH level defensemen he's as un-touchable as jack. neither team wants to pull the trigger for fear of over-paying or under valuing. and there is simply no sample size to determine a good value for him.

You'd need to add significantly to pettersson. Hughes is the better, younger player who will be 5 mill a year cheaper than pettersson.

I highly doubt Pettersson will be getting 13 mil

on an 8 year deal if the cap goes up 5 mill it's likely (assuming he replicates this year) I think he could. And if he can't replicate this year that once again asserts Jack being much more valuable.

Even if he replicated this season, I don’t think he has done enough to get paid more than MacKinnon who I think we can agree is better than both
