Roy would be a nice partner for Hughes if he doesn't re-sign in LA.

I'd love to see a Hirose Willander pair next year if they develop well.

I think Lekkerimaki is two years away still. He's got a some nice skill but needs to develop a ton physically.

Roy might sign with Detroit. Half their roster are Michigan boys. 🤣

If aho took slightly under 10, I’d expect an 8 x 10.25-10.5 for Pettey

$11.5M seems pretty high for Petey.
Do you think he would accept this kind of offer next July 2024?

And also Chicago has too many forwards in their roster and I don't know how Garland would be a good fit for the Hawks roster.
What do you think?

Hawks were rumored to have some kind of interest in Garland before the draft as a way to move up in the first, but after acquiring Hall and the draft coming and going, I doubt the Hawks have any interest in Garland much less actually giving up (even minimal) value. The rumors were a 2nd and the Tampa 1st for the Nucks 1st (basically fair value trade on the picks to take Garland as a neutral value asset. Garland is a reduntant size and shape that the Hawks have plenty of the same in their young forward/prospects so I don't see the fit.

I’m not he doesn’t deserve more. I’m saying I hope he takes less in the same fashion that the bruins players took less to make the team great. VAN has had a rough few years, and even in the glory days they had it bad losing to BOS and NYR in the finals. I’d like to see them back up and contending

Hawks decline. They might be interested in adding Garland for next season, but not if it costs a 3rd and a 4th. Maybe as part of a larger trade or for future considerations or some other minor asset. But even next season, Garland is a neutral value player from Hawks perspective. They aren't paying for him.

I think you got the number both in terms of year and cap hit right. I could definitely see Petey signing for 5, taking him to approximately 30 at the end of the contract in time for one last pay day when the cap is up a bunch.
