Too much for rental Scheifele. He'd be a good fit for Boston though. This sign and trade stuff is fantasy land.

I’ll bank that no team offers what Winnipeg wants and buys a 31 year old out of a free agency period where he likely gets at least 6 years

DeBrusk likely warrants a #1 at the trade deadline with some retention.

Doesn’t matter, if I’m going to offer those two … I’m looking for younger and more complete than Scheifele

If DeBrusk as an inconsistent complimentary winger brings back a 1st with retention at the TDL as a rental. Then think how much more a consistent 1C brings back with retention at the TDL.

4 years in a contract year is a big consideration. I do believe Scheifele with retention nets you a contenders first from a team wiling to walk away from him.. I don’t believe most contenders first even sniffs Swayman and Frederic IMO.

Scheifele isn't worth it. Poor defensively, below average in the dot and questionable as a locker room leader. He's basically the opposite of everything Boston looks for in a center.
