I offered 2 unconditional first, kulich and ostlund (and offered to swap then out for savoie and peterka) promised Vancouver fans it was only if he demanded a trade. Begged anyone who would listen to provide an example of anyone since Wayne Gretzky to get 2 unconditional 1sts in a trade and I still had to move my family into witness protection.

Didn’t see you ask in your thread about it, but Phil Kessel got 2 unconditional 1st round picks when he got traded to Toronto

Hagel got 2 first round picks recently. While top 10 protected, that didn’t really matter. If the Sabres were a bottom 10 team with Pettersson, something seriously wrong had happened

There is nothing to believe., you have to look closely how situation evolve. Canucks have mediocre roster for 23/24 with little upside from last season.
Then they could go into rebuild for 24/25 or go on big spending spree, but not sure how attractive Vancouver can be to free agents.
Is their best player ready to commit long term, with that many uncertentaintity ? We will see.
