I do not see Boston saying yes to this, because it addresses none of their needs. They need top 6 C. But as a Rangers fan I wouldn't be upset with it at all. Especially like the extra cap space which is a rare occurrence in NYR.

Why would the Hawks help out a cap strapped team by taking a $3.65m contract for four more years AND send the Rangers a draft pick? Please don’t tell me that Trivigno is the inducement needed to get the Hawks to pull the trigger on this deal, he’s just a guy.

Goodrow is a good depth guy that you add as a finishing piece, the Hawks are so far away from that point it would make no sense for the Hawks to do this unless draft capital/or potential impact prospects are attached to him.

Hawks obviously decline. No GM in the NHL is giving up anything for Goodrow and that contract. And Trivigno doesn't move the needle one bit for the Hawks. Their AHL roster is pretty full.
