The right move was to get Chychrun instead of Debrincat, keep Nick Paul and Connor Brown and extend them. Plus never trade Gustavsson

Unfortunately Dorion is too active

Cat trade was stupid without an extension as part of it

Seems odd to blame Talbot. None of the Sens goaltending was particularly spectacular last season. It was as much a team issue, in that the team didn't play defense, as any 1 goalie.

The Chychrun stuff is a weird cope too. The Sens acquired him on March 1st. After that they played 9-9-3 hockey. Barely above .500. Their record was actually better before they got him than after.

Debrincat trade was only bad cause he didn’t want to sign here long term! And no one saw the Gustafson stepping up like that!
While I agree sometimes the best move is not making one, a lot of Dorian’s moves come out positive! Like Karlsson move. Signing Giroux and the chychrun trade! This team is going to be good and get better! But yea Goalie is goin to be the Achilles heal.

Forsberg went down in those games and Sogaard played .880. Small sample size and still no Norris or Chabot lol

If Korpisalo plays like he did this year, and is healthy the Sens goaltending situation will be good enough.

Maybe! But he wasn’t great in the playoffs. But I do like him. Never liked the Talbot trade, that one really hurt

INO korchinski looks pretty dang good. He could become a top pairing D if they develop him correctly, which as a rebuilding team it should be a priority to develop players correctly

I'm Dorion's biggest critic so I am the one thanking you

However you might be jumping the gun a bit early here.

Brown missed the season AFTER the trade and if that trade never happened, he most likely would not have been injured... He was pretty much an iron man before that, he didn't miss a NHL game until his 6th season.

And the pick in 2024 is good and all, but the Sens might have missed the playoffs last year because they were missing a guy like Brown all season. They should have kept Nick Paul and extended both. Actually, an insider (on another forum, who proved himself multiple times) said that Brown got pissed when Nick got traded and then asked for a trade.
