Not the finished article but if Nylander is traded Kane as a cheaper replacement would be amazing. If we trade Nylander a 1 for 1 with a great young player, potential Tavares replacement at center and move him to wing next year.

McTavish bonus will be carried to next year which won't help too much but hey

When ya boys up north going to learn, top 3 selected players on ELCs aren't moved unless their development stalls (i.e. Dach)

You're not getting a future star back for one year of Nylander.

No, thanks. You've proven that the "top-heavy" team structure doesn't work -- that experiment has been conducted, and the results are in. We won't be taking Nylander and his $8 million plus (new contract) on when we can have McTavish for two seasons on his ELC and for at least two or three more seasons at under what Nylander's cap hit is now.
