That right D is not wild card worthy. Goaltending has much to be desired as well, unless they keep Desmith (montembeault will need to rise up quite a bit).

Maillet will not make the NHL roster.

I would craft the lines differently than you have them here.

That forward group could be fun this year though.

I prioritized the experience and age over youth with these lines, thats why I had Maillet here as he is kinda the new Alex Belzile.

The right D is in fact not so great but will improve during the season as we have Barron, Lindstrom, Reinbacher who could eventually or immediately join the lineup.

Finally, to even have a chance at the wild card, Monty and Allen would need to step up big time.

The forward group would be indeed fun led by Goal Caufield and Nick Suzuki

This is a bottom 5 team, nowhere near the playoffs. The RHDs are awful. Gallagher is not a top 6 player. Newhook probably isn’t either. The 3rd line would be one of the worst in the league defensively. The goaltending is mediocre

I dont think this team can compete for a playoff spot simply because of the strength of the division, however they could do damage.

I think the Top 6 might need a bit of reshuffling here, as Gally should probably not be in the top 6, but Monahan and or Anderson are more top 6 players. IDK if Slaf gets first line this year, but we’ll see. I think there are some better 4th line options that we could use, but again, we’ll see the decision of managment. However, there is no way Wideman gets more than 7th D. This year, we should finish 8-12 th in the lottery, but then we could push for a spot

Shouldn't Harvey-Pinard be in the lineup?

your lineup is all messed up .. Wideman didnt start last year and wont this year.. where is harris who was stellar last year. RHP is in the lineup as well not mailloux... Bezile only got into the lineup when the injuries were terrible but harvey was one who produced.

hopefully wideman never dresses, both barron and harris should be in there over him. Slaf isnt going to be on the top line, Armia should be sent down or sent home, The only possible way they move out of the bottom 5-8 teams this year is if they turn it over to some of the younger guys who outperform expectation right off. This isnt a case of trust the veterans players to play consistently, wideman, dvorak armia Maillet all can go.
