lmaooooo.

Not even enough to get Verbeek to answer the phone

Girard would not be anything near the best piece in a Zegras trade.

It would be Byram +++ and COL doesnt have the +++ needed

Yeahhhhhhh so Girard is capable of getting a couple of high draft picks in return and that is what we should be offering him for (if we offer him at all). Zegras is viewed by the Ducks as their generational forward. This would be like them offering us Brandon Montour and a couple of picks for MacKinnon back in 2017. MacKinnon wasn't putting up incredible numbers just yet, but we would've laughed at that trade proposal. As they are laughing at this one.

Come on man

If that’s all Z costs to reup, he would have been signed already

Not near enough and we certainly don’t need an undersized LD to clog up the way for Zellweger and Mintyukov to make their ways on up

Zegras is getting a bridge deal, and that offer is not close for ANA.

Complete undervaluation of Zegras' value, both economically and on-ice.

Colorado isn't trading MacKinnon, Makar, Nichushkin or Rantanen, and as my esteemed friend @Salzy says, Byram plus whatever the Avs have left isn't enough for Zegras to make our fingers twitch.

I don't know what I find funnier to be honest, the thought that that's enough to get Zegras, or the thought that Zegras would sign that deal.

Whats the holdup on the talks? Is it $$$, term or both?

Without doing complex comps to Hughes or Peterson or Cozens or whoever I would think its 3*6.5 at a minimum that the Zegras camp would want in a bridge? Or 7 or 8*8ish mil in a long term?

The trade I don't think is that bad given they have MacT, Leo +++ IFFFF Zegras doesn't want to be there...I think some sweetener could do it

This is so comically bad. The only player added from COL isn’t even a good fit for ANA as another undersized Dman

No one really knows, Verbeek runs a tight ship, we don't know what's going on until it happens. Presumably Z wants star money, Verbeek points out he isn't a star yet, or maybe wants Z to get his temper under control on the ice. What we do know from Reddit is that he flew into SNA (our local airport) yesterday so I'd expect to see a contract inked soon.

As to the trade though? It's not even in the ballpark. A late first and the exact kind of defenseman we don't need another one of (and whom we have an exact copy of entering the AHL) does not get our star forward.

Thanks for the info, I was really curious on the 2 RFAs...Nothing wrong with a tight ship...

I like the blueprint Anaheim is using...the team will be entertaining and interesting to watch this year for sure and in a few years wow...gonna be hard to keep all that talent but hope for Duck fans that Verbeek doesn't go the Toronto/Dubas/Shanahan route

Back to back cover athletes on the same team. I like it! When MacK outscores McJesus, wins the Hart, Conn Smythe, Art Ross, & Cup, it will be 3 for 3.

Zegras and Drysdale were both at the informal practice today at Great Park Ice.

What if it was Devon Teows? In that Case the 1st pick and Z would be on the way to Colorado.

Zegras is a mid level play maker. it isn't worth what you think he is. Girard is a Cap healthy second tier D man. Puck mover. Actually this was a nice to have but your probably right.

It would be Byram +++ and COL doesnt have the +++ needed

Just a guess…based on Strome and Killorn deals done in 4 years
Zegras 4 years * 7.5
Drysdale 4 years * 6
