Might have to trade him for a 3rd now, then a team uses him and flip him for a 2nd at the deadline

I said this in another thread, but I think a Kubalik deal is closer to what Duclair got — Lorentz + 5th. Both cap dumps, both streaky secondary scorers. The receiving team may still flip him with retention for a better deal, but it doesn’t mean OTT will necessarily get value for him if they trade him now.

Not really cap dumps because that implies negative value, more like cap casualties and "meh returns" because they don't play a complete game

Lorentz + 5th is not GREAT value but it's still value. Can expect Kubalik to return at least that
