Wow where do I start with this nonsense? This is 100% how this business works and if you can't see that you're delusional. If you want to be a smug b#%ch I'll match you step for step. The Hawks don't need to make trades. Other teams do if they want to become cap compliant to start the season or sign RFAs. Because of that, Chicago sets the market value in any trade scenario. Don't like it? Find another team with cap space willing to make a deal. Kyle Davidson has already stated he's done unless something comes his way that makes sense. This proposal makes sense. In any trade scenario involving the other team shedding cap space, the Hawks have the upper hand since they can simply walk away. I'll let you figure out the rest...
Well, you are proving once again that you have no idea how this works. I am talking about how player's VALUE work and you are talking about your team needs/context.
You probably won't understand the nuance but it's ok
May I remind you that the OP took this idea from a Chicago ACGM. In this hypothetical (which is the purpose of this forum), Hawks are proposing.
Again, you probably won't understand the nuance but it's ok
All that being said, it does NOT work as the following :
- Joseph is 9 M$ cap dump, it would cost ALL THAT to dump him
- Dickinson at 50% is a positive asset and would cost THAT to acquire
If you can't figure out why, I really can't help you. But your option is to stay in denial and call my post "nonsense" again.
But I am going to help out a little bit more. Even if both teams agreed that both players are 100% equal, do you really think 1.625 would cost 2nd + Thomson + 4th?
Look at what it costed the Sens for dumping Murray and Zaitsev, for example, full cap dumps without taking any salary back...
