Why would CBJ trade one year of Myers for three years of Peeke.
Doubt if Goodrow would have Canucks on his trade list

They have a bit of excess at RHD. If Boqvist is healthy, he could bump Peeke. It's also Babcock and Myers might have more family photos than Peeke. Clears up cap going ahead with many young players to sign, get a pick, decent prospect and keep RHD depth. Lots of reasons.

Rangers nicely say no chance, but then make a counter offer of Chytil for Pettersson straight up, and ask nicely.

They are both silly trade ideas, so they kinda are.

Sure but at least there is a need at RW in NYR, especially if Kane weren't back.

Who knows if Kane will be back? Plus, Laffy and Othmann will be trying RW in camp, so that may solve the issue right there with Lavi as coach. In any case, Schneider is off limits and will be in NYC a long time.

It would actually really help the rangers, sure losing schneider hurts but he’s literally stuck on the 3rd pair in New York and you’d be upgrading from goodrow to Boeser for only 400k extra salary. I know Boeser doesn’t have the value to return schneider straight up, but with 2 mil retained and Van taking the negative value that goodrow has it actually makes sense

Not for us. Trouba in 2 years and Schneider takes his spot. If we need cap and wanted to retain Trouba we buyout Goodrow. Boeser doesn’t impress enough to consider giving up Schneider.

The problem is schneider needs paid after this year, sure a bridge deal is likely but still the rangers don’t have much cap space and trouba is one of the worst contracts in the league so I don’t think he’s moveable

We need to shed cap... this yr 24 & 25 26 27: 0m -1m -6m 14m as is. Boeser @ 4.7m is not in the cards, either way lol. BS stays and Goody 900k retained will be auctioned off next summer for a 2nd ish

Doesn't help the Rangers in any way, only makes them worse now and in the long run. The Rangers near future top 4 on D are Lindgren/Fox and Miller/Schneider. All four are off limits for trades.

There’s enough for a bridge. As I mentioned a $5-5.5 mil Trouba is actually a decent contract or he can be bought out. Either way it doesn’t help us to make bad deals.
