Hmmm

Full NTC on Krug going to the previous seasons worst team, because THATS going to happen.

Allen waiving for the same team, because e THATS going to happen.

Gibson waiving for Canada, because THATS going to happen.

Then there's the problem of Anaheim not wanting Krug because he's not a fit for what we need, not does his contract fit our timeline.

No, it's really not. You weren't right when you said it on the other thread, and you're not right now either. Even if the players were willing to move, it doesn't make sense for the teams not names MTL.

They want to go to contenders to get a cup. MTL isn't anywhere near being a contender. Anaheim is as close, and STL is floundering out to just start their rebuild. The only one who moves up is Krug and it's not by much.

I'm sorry, but I have no clue why Habs would move these. Gibson isn't a good contract for them, they have Montembeault, Allen and DeSmith right now. Why trade Allen at half the cost of Gibson when Gibson ain't performing right now.

Even if it takes away Gallagher's contract I don't think that fits in at all. And on top, adding Vrana? Habs would rather keep the contracts they have right now than make moves that would again limit them in an other way.

"Wants out" and "wants to go to Montreal" (Gibson) or "wants to go to Anaheim" (Krug) are entirely different and wholly unrelated things.

And for the reasons set forth by my estimable colleague, Krug isn't on Pat Verbeek's Christmas wish list.

Krug very much so does not want out. So much that he declined a trade to Philadelphia this off-season.

There aren’t many trades I’d have issue with involving Krug. But moving him and Vrana out for Gallagher and McGinn is a total loss in skill and also just as hard of a hit on our cap. We’d be better off running 7 d men and having Krug strictly play offensive situations and QB a PP. Both spots were he ranks very highly in production

Habs don't want to move a goalie to receive another one, we got 3 right now.
