Although very interesting, doesn't make sense for either team. MTL isn't really in win-now mode like VAN.

It actually kinda makes sense for MTL, since they are in the “trying to climb up” part of their rebuild, so a 24 year old superstar will fit their needs. Maybe Van triggers the rebuild at some point soon?

In the event Petey asks out and Montreal is interested, I would want Dach + Reinbacher + 2024 1st (depending on where it ends up) to be included

If EP wanted out of Vancouver I doubt he would want to go to a team that isn't going to be contending for a number of years. Montreal would have to part with significant young assets that are on the brink of breaking out to acquire EP, which would also hurt their future depth and therefore chances of being competitive in the near future.

That said I do think Montreal could put together a package that would be very competitive to acquire EP, IF Vancouver was ever forced to trade him. In my opinion however, your package has to many futures that will take to many years to be contributors, where it's clear Vancouver ownership wants to compete now, not 5+ years from now.

Probably would need something like: Suzuki + Reinbacher
