How would you change? Maybe a better RD from Anaheim?

No. If ottawa moves Pinto, they need a player who can play in the top 6 now or in the future and be under 26

They have cap issues, so would have to be ELCs. And adding ELCs that can play in top-6 will cost a lot.

Pinto will cost a lot. He’s a 2 way centre with size who shots right and just had 20 goals as a rookie.

Sens get unbelievably hosed here. Drury isn't a 3C on any team in the league, and while Helleson is a nice prospect, he's a ways away and really does nothing to take the sting out of losing Pinto.

Ottawa makes a move and signs Pinto within 72 hours btw

Yeah ppl want to trade Pinto as they would an old 3rd line guy. No his return justifies trading a centre with top 6 potential

Drury and Helleson are most likely not even needed (even as support players) for the foreseeable future...

Chabot, Sanderson, Chychrun, Zub, Brannstrom/Kleven, Hamonic, JBD, Guenette, Donovan, etc

Stutzle, Norris, Greig, Ostapchuk

Sens WANT Pinto, not Drury

I'd much rather waive Kubalik or even Brannstrom than do this, even if it doesn't make sense

Cap issues are very small and only for this season.

It would make more sense for Ottawa to get Jarvis in the deal instead of him going to Anaheim. Anaheim would then get Drury. I'd rather see Luneau going to Ottawa as well instead of Helleson. Ottawa could also send a 2nd or 3rd round pick to even things out more. Either way, I'd still rather see Pinto stay in Ottawa, but if he needs to be traded, this would be more fair.

Cap issues are gone mostly after this season, they have almost $5M coming off books in dead cap and the 5-6 M the cap is going up.

this is a horrible trade for ottawa and a huge no. Need to have a young top 9 forward coming back.

Careful, you will get flamed for mentioning Jarvis

Have to give a bit more than Pinto to get Jarvis so I would do Pinto + Joseph + 1st (OTT) for Jarvis + Noesen

Note : your avatar is quite funny lol

Careful you gotta say top 9 with top 6 potential. If you just say top 9, theyll send you a 28+ year old career 3rd liner

That a good thought from Ottawa side, but then they would have to pay Anaheim something more than Drury. Probably Greig or similar.

Pinto + Greig ? Lol what are u on. The Sens aren’t moving Pinto or Greig without getting a top 6 player in return. Def not combining them that’s for sure

If I took all the suggestions….

ANA gives: Zegras
ANA gets: Pinto, Joseph, Greig, 1st

CAR gives: Jarvis, Drury, 1st, 2nd
CAR gets: Zegras

OTT gives: Pinto, Greig, Joseph
OTT gets: Jarvis, Drury, 2nd

I don’t think Anaheim considers that. If anything, they would probably opt for the package Carolina is giving here (Jarvis, Drury, 1st, 2nd) over the final group (Pinto, Greig, Joseph, 1st).

Ottawa doesn’t consider that either. Not even close. Stop underrating Pinto and Greig

Sens wouldn't trade either Pinto or Greig for Chychrun (which was a TOP need), they're not going to move BOTH for Jarvis lol

I am just not trading Greig, period.

I would do Pinto for Jarvis even though it creates a hole at 3rd line Center for this season. But personally wouldn't mind having Greig there if Giroux is on his wing

This is closer but why would Ottawa want to do major trades? Pinto and Ostapchuk are pretty much in their plans, they specifically drafted them, they developed them and projected them into their future core

Sens don't want to trade cost controlled futures like Ostapchuk and a 1st (and even Pinto) for a guy who will be expensive as soon as next year. They already have all their stars. They'll only need to replace Tarasenko next season and that's pretty much it

They only need to save about 1.5 AAV for THIS season. They are totally fine cap wise after that. Why would they want to make a big trade to fix a very simple issue?

Quoting: NHLfan10506

I view that as fairly even swap.

It's ok if you do. We don't

All of Greig, Jarvis and Pinto have been ranked in the same range in prospects rankings over the years. Why would one of them be worth the other 2?
