Sens would have been fine if they didn't give 4m to a career backup to be their starter. Terrible cap management

Sens are up against it, but it's hardly cap hell. Literally one unsavoury move away from being fine.

Like giving 10.5M for a 30yo 55pt player? Have fun with that one

OP, how's that Krug and Parayko contracts working out for you?

Sens have all of their young core locked up to reasonable contracts, only Pinto left, and it's quite easy to make room to sign him. Why isn't signed yet, if it's so easy? Because negotiating. Same reason Drysdale and Zegras aren't signed.

With that said, I'm not seeing how this is cap hell. Easily enough to sign pinto for what he's worth after his bridge deal.

Answer : Pierre Dorion

That said, this is not cap hell. There's only Pinto to sign and if the GM can convince him to sign a cheap 1 year bridge (then sign a long term extension in January), Sens don't need to create much. They currently have around 900 K$

Uhh... did I touch a nerve or something?

If you're referring to Huby, Sutter gave him 16 minutes toi/g and stuffed him on the 3rd line. Obviously his point totals would half. Don't know why you included a response to OP.. but sure.

I was simply pointing out giving Korpisalo a 4x4 was bad. Giving career 1b goalies big contracts has worked out so well in the past, right? Let's ask Petersen, Campbell and Grubauer.

Parayko's deal is fine, Krug sucks.
If it was easy then Pinto would be in camp, with Norris still in a non-contact you would think the Sens would want to have their potential 2C in camp
