Pettersson is a top 10 Center in the league and that trade is not worth at all. The Trade starts with at minimum Reinbacher/Slafkovsky + 1st and an additional top 6 roster player in either Dach or Newhook. Also pettersson on the 2nd line behind Suzuki and on 2nd unit PP???? He is easily the best player on that team no question

And no way ducks take on 6.5M cap hit for a declining player without gaining a pick let alone giving up one

Anaheim isn't paying a third for an old, declining, expensive veteran with an injury history whose contract is under water by 10%. I doubt that the Canadiens would be willing to part with what we'd want in exchange for taking Gallagher off Montreal's hands.

Hey now, I would give up a third for Gallagher, if Gallagher came with Montreal's 24, 25, and maybe 26 unprotected 1st round picks.

That’s not even close to what it would take to get Pettersson. Gallagher is going to cost multiple 1st round picks if you want to move his ridiculous contract, there’s no way you get anything back for him.
