Description
Now, Maroon and Foligno might seem wierd, but this is an insurance policy for Rossi, making sure he won´t get touched. I also don't see the pair of Zuccy and Kirill being split up because they were a force to be reckoned with last year. I also think that Johansson and Ekker are gonna be solid chemistry-wise with Boldy as seen last year. It would have been nice to keep a guy like Nyquist, but ya know, cap space and all that. I could also see a lot of guys like Walker, Ohgren, Beckman and others showing up in that bottom 6 group with either injury or test runs.

Why is Boston trading a guy they just drafted for future considerations?

I think Rossi starts between Gaudreau and Foligno - he needs to play with decent skill players in order to start flourishing, especially if he starts on that third line. Another small point: it has been reported and confirmed that Ohgren will not be in NA pro hockey until 24-25. He will be at Farjestad again this year. But yes, hopefully Walker/Beckman/etc get some good looks!

My guess is this account is actually Beckett Hendrickson himself and he secretly wishes he was part of the Wild

Best way to ensure Rossi fails: stick him with two talentless grinders like Foligno and Maroon

For a team with no centers, they sure don't seem interested in developing their best one

I wanted to create some fluidity in the bottom 6 and make sure Rossi stays safe. If you want to flip one of those guys to the fourth, and bring up Gaudreau to play wing and Duhaime centers the fourth, that would be fine.

It's not just you, it seems Dean isn't even going to consider anything else. Rossi plays (when he's playing his game anyway) a smart, playmaking game that relies on distributing the puck to guys who have offensive instincts and can score. He's never going to be a guy who can just do it all himself like Kaprizov or Boldy. He needs some talent he can move the puck around with. Dump and chase isn't going to be a good fit and Foligno can only score by crashing the net and hoping for a rebound. Which can be useful, but it's not going to get the most out of Rossi's game.

We saw how playing Rossi with little to no offensive help played out last year. Why on Earth would anyone want to see that again? It’s the definition of insanity.

Is the team really going with a 5-forward PP1? Has Addison gotten any looks back on that unit?
