Description

Line 1-- Why changed a devastatingly successful line of Skinner/Tage/Tuch?
Line 2-- Sorry Dylan and JJ, hope your shoulders are broad enough to carry Olofsson for a bit
Line 3-- Mitts and Greenway carry the rookie after Granato shelters him
Line 4-- Krebs centers what could end up being one of the better fourth lines in the league

As for the defense and goaltending? Hopes and prayers at this junction although I believe Dahlin and Power will be formidable in their roles and will carry a lot of weight moving forward with Levi using his Jedi mind tricks to attack the opposition.

Buffalo got a few gifts in last few drafts. Savoie is ridiculously skilled also, I would be surprised if benson doesn’t get back to junior and world junior championships this year. Possibly 9 games though,

I belived that Benson will be draft after Bedard, Carlsson, Fantilli, Smith, Reinbacher, Michkov and Lenoard, but he falled a lot. Can be a big steal by Buffalo.

About Shane Wright, that's not the same situation. All the teams over them maked the good choice to not taking him. Also, somes repports said that he wasn't even in the top 5 in somes NHL teams scoutting lists for mutiples reasons.......

I feel like I've read "Benson was 13OA in 2023" enough times that it's going to be the only thing I can remember on my deathbed.

If Benson stays he is starting with Tage and Skinner. No way they been having him all the time and are going to switch it now

That's a bona fide top line featuring Skinner/Tage/Tuch. They had mad success. Benson has a lot to learn. He also needs to add strength as he's just a kid. Third line protections when the real bullets start flying a practical approach.

Olofsson needs to be in the pressbox, he has been awful in the preseason. I'd much sooner give Rousek, Biro, Murray, or Kozak the roster spot

He may end up there. Or...maybe he and his $4.75m contract get an opportunity.

Quick note. Olofsson was good for 11 goals in the first 2 months last season.

Sure but if Im Donny Im not giving players chances based on the past, they have to earn it with current play. Olofsson needs to compete way harder and with that his consistency should improve. When he's hot he is lethal, when he's cold he is invisible

Totally agree. I'm gonna keep an eye on Benson. If he can stick, Olofsson is one step closer to being traded. Savoie could also become a factor, but what it may come down to is feeling comfortable with what they'll have in the top-9 prior to Quinn getting back on the ice.
