Well Laf's value has gone down now and Hanifin's value is still high. IDK in my eyes this seems fair unless Laf starts to show his worth

How do we replace the 35-40 points Laf got at less than $3 mil for 2 years? Hanifin is gonna be expensive to resign and we’ve got Lindgren and Miller on the left side already. This just doesn’t make sense for the Rangers.

i think Ranger fans (myself included) are okay with letting Laf walk or rather be traded. So that piece of the trade is do able, as for Schneider> Nah...we keeping him. Great defensive upside, contract controlled, grit, big, young... is ideally the replacement to TROUBA.

Your offer is filling a need they have, but the Value just isnt where it needs to be at all compared to what they are being asked to give up.

It's impossible to keep him around plus his situation with Calgary, it doesn't make sense to give up those kinds of assets

I can't speak for others but I'd trade Laf for the right package, I'm not gonna trade him for peanuts but if I get a good offer i'd be willing to take it. (At minimum it would probably take a 1st and a good middle six guy on a good contract)
