Value probably isn't completely sideways I just don't see why the Flames would have interest in either player.

The trade with the Wings doesn't make sense. Chariot is younger, has 3 more years on his deal and his cap hit is already less than Brodie's. If Chariot is an upgrade over Brodie then why would the wings trade him straight up, let alone retain?

Brodie is much better than Chairot. Leafs easily pass, and likely the Wings too

Brodie is definitely better than Chairot, and it would make sense as after this year they clear 3.8 million.

Still, no incentive for either team to make this swap

Yes I guess I forgot to say the other side, is that if Brodie has more value, then he's better and why would the leafs downgrade. I agree with you.
