As long as Tampa's core is still alive and kicking, the goal is to add a top six forward, not to trade one away. Doubtful Stamkos waives his NMC too.

Even still, if this were to happen, Tampa would definitely insist on a first for retention on a player of Stamkos' quality than an assortment of seconds.
