Description
I know they may not resign certain players but with a HEALTHY Landeskog it puts the Avs in a cap situation next season even with the huge cap increase. I'd assume that either Manson or Girard would be on the way out in the D core especially if they want to resign/extend Byram for the following season. In the forward group it would be either Colton, Nichushkin, Lehkonen, or Johansen.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll let go of MacDermid. You're also forgetting about Kovalenko being a cheap forward addition. I'm guessing, thought, that they try to move on from Manson first to free up space.

Drouin isn't going to re-sign for that low with the avs. Either he'll have performed and demand a better contract or the project failed.

yeah it's really only moving one of girard or manson and then it's fine for this year, kovalenko takes drouins spot in the lineup and you say 700k already there. i don't think next year is the one to worry about. The 25-26 season will be when rants, byram, kovalenko, LOC & geo need raises.

Either gIrard or Manson goes after this year (as do jj and dermy) and the 6-7 d are some cheap combo of Behrens, Malinski, Caleb Jones, ahcan, clurman or someone from the outside.

He can try but the only way the project can succeed is because he's playing with MacKinnon and Rantanen; nobody should expect him to replicate anything he does with the Avs.

Agreed. I think if Drouin works out, he stays with COL. It would be a big gamble for another team to take him on.
