This team is scary

Created by: MaxBorjshlapsky
Team: 2023-24 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2023
Published: Oct. 21, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think the senators are ok, Sanderson, Chabot, chychrun are not fun to play against

The forwards speak for itself and pinto isn't even there also that jarventie kid can play too.

Moving Forsberg and Joseph is probably not a bad idea they are both good players the contracts are not bad at all free up a little money now that the team is looking really good and probably a market for those players.

What team takes those players I don't know just created the deal with Detroit they can always use some goaltending and Joseph can continue to build up a powerful team looking like in Detroit also.

Joseph's value has never been higher but based on history his foot will come off the gas at some point, get what you can!

Think sens will keep both Forsberg and Joseph. Forsberg is a great backup and signed to a decent contract, he’s definitely worth it. Joseph is a great PK guy and with the cap going up and all the dead cap coming off the books for the Sens, they can easily retain him and add another F. Think they’ll move Branny and have Kleven take his spot next year and maybe sign a 6/7D that can flip with Hamonic. And a Top 9 forward that they can plug on one of those lines (if they don’t resign Tarasenko)

Detroit don't need Forsberg and don't want Joseph.

This is nothing but a cap dump from Ottawa and Detroit is not helping a division rival out without getting handsomely paid for doing so.

Actually I'd say that Joseph's value has never been LOWER... not so much because of him, but moreso because of Ottawa's cap situation. Teams know that they're in a bind and are asking for a 1st or Boucher to take on Joseph's caphit to enable Ottawa to sign Pinto.

In isolation though Joseph was probably valued higher when he was on a cheap contract where his play exceeded his contract. Now his contract isn't really a "value" contract, though it's probably not a "bad" contract either, just fair value.

That makes sense but also teams do favors for other teams also with the hopes of getting a future favour done as long as the player can help their team because if you decline an opportunity to upgrade your team and play hardball that also has consequences in the future

I like the start Joseph has had and I've always liked his energy, that said the second you put Soderblom in the trade made it an extremely hard pass. We have no need for Forsberg although again I don't mind the player. Korpisalo would be pissed if they traded him too, part of the reason he signed there. We also have no room for Joseph either really right now.

That's what I'm trying to say and how does Pinto get on to this team? Forsberg had put in his time in Ottawa he is decent but korpisalo is obviously the guy and the sense don't have the money right now I would be shocked if a team didn't ask about forsberg can build draft capital with moving forsberg or get a prospect

Detroit declines. Doesn't improve the team. Just because Soderblom isn't on the team now doesn't mean he won't be in the future. Yzerman will be patient developing him because of his unique blend of size and skill.

Detroit declines; you don't get a decent prospect for a capdump and a meh goalie.
Ottawa also declines because, despite being 4 games in, his value went from being a giant capdump to not being a giant capdump, apparently.

Lyon = Forsberg.

Soderblom > Joseph.

Detroit easily passes.

Sens shouldn't do this

Forsberg is a lot better than Lyon and one of the most underrated goalies in the league. They do this and they're screwed this season, Korpisalo is not consistent enough

Soderblom is still young and of course some will think he's better but frankly, there's very little chance that he ends up impacting the game like Joseph does, and for one big reason : skating ability.

Ottawa just need to move one contract and replace it by a Pinto contract (my choice has been Kubalik since July)

Looks like both teams fans don't like it much

Nah, he had a down season with injuries and playing with crap players last year (but still paced for 26 pts) and people automatically assumed he was a "cap dump" because Ottawa needed to create space with the (stupid) way Dorion has managed this.

But frankly that ship has sailed, it would be extremely stupid to pay anything to move Joseph and even to just move him at all. The odd-man out should have always been Kubalik

Not faulting teams for trying to benefit of the situation. They could have asked for Stutzle if they wanted but that doesn't mean it would have been smart to do it. Thankfully Dorion didn't for once.

Lyon = Forsberg.

Soderblom > Joseph.

And on which facts is this based on?
