Shane Pinto

Created by: GMDannyB
Team: 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2023
Published: Oct. 21, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Garrioch seemed to insinuate during the intermission of the Sens game that we will have clarity on Pinto soon and it doesn’t sound like an extension is imminent.

Flyers fans what are your thoughts on this trade if they decide to part with Pinto?

Additional Details:
I honestly think Frost is more valuable than Pinto and production wise Frost has better stats at similar ages but I think this trade fits both teams I think Frost is done in Philly and it’s clear Torts isn’t a fan of him so maybe we lose some leverage on that so I wouldn’t mind pay a 3rd to make up that difference even if I think Frost is worth more.

Frost is currently a healthy scratch for the Flyers, so he might even clear waivers.

And the picks in the trade with Colorado can be used to acquire an immediate impact player.

And I'm sorry your offer for Pinto fell short once again.

Feel free to try again.

😂😂😂 u guys think Pinto is a future 2C but Frost is more of a 2C already but he would clear through waivers? Come on man this is why you guys aren’t taken seriously on here. That never in a million years would happen.

Frost was a 2C last season.

What has he done this season ?

Also, Pinto doesn't strike me as the type of player that would be scratched by Torts FWIW.

If you want Pinto, you have to pay for him.

That's what Richard88 did.

You can too.

Work something out with Pinto and Foerster as the principles.
Need someone on an ELC to make the $ work. Even better add Brannstrom vs. Seeler + a mid pick

Pinto was a 3C last season.

What has he done this season ?

Also, Frost doesn’t strike me as the type of player that would be a 3C on a team that misses the playoffs FWIW.

If you want a Pinto replacement, you get one that has better stats than him

That’s what Frost has.

Pinto might eventually too.

Foerster is untouchable so that’s not even an option u would be lucky to get Frost or Laughton for a 3C

He got scratched 1 game lol. He was on the inaugural AHL top prospects list last year as a top 3 forward in the entire AHL. He got scratched cause we are rotating in rookies to the lineup because they feel he’s too good for the AHL to send him down. Do some research.

100% not an untouchable asset if you took a straw poll from Flyers fans. Only guys that would fall into that category are Michkov and Gauthier. He's projection is more middle-six, complementary scorer rather than some trailblazer maestro in the offensive zone. Wouldn't actively shop him in any deal but also wouldn't pass on trading him for the right price. I would rather keep him and see if he can develop his scoring versus trading for another 200-ft center when they have Couturier/Cates

You're the one who did the line up and listed him as a scratch. You're a bit of a narcissist eh?

In a hypothetical lineup with Pinto but they would probably either move or sit someone else. Do some research.

Can't you read?

The great one said "it’s gotten to the point" so it must mean something... but hey the problem is clearly Sens fans who express the desire to not getting bent over.

1. Pinto hasn't done anything this season because we're unable to sign him.

Frost has done something this season and that's sit in the press box.

2. If I want a Pinto replacement, I would look at other things besides his stat line in hockeydb.

One thing I would look at would be the circumstances of why said replacement would often be a healthy scratch on another team.

Pinto doesn't have the problem of being a healthy scratch.

I wish I could say the same thing about Frost.

Got it so Frost has played 2 games and sat for 3 but Pinto hasn’t sat for any of the games he just hasn’t played in them. Ur logic is great, I wish I could go through life with ur kind of hoop jumping

I was thinking about this last night. Probably would have to be more salary coming to Flyers tho. Something like

Pinto and Kubalik for Frost and 2nd

If Dorion cannot get something done soon, Flyers should bounce.

Agreed but that makes us have too many forwards so we would probably have to flip Kubalik elsewhere

We gotta shed a forward or two at TDL. Foerester and Brink full time in lineup would be ideal. Allison as next up. Gauthier is probably coming next year as well. I'd like to move Atkinson if possible.

Farabee - Coots - Brink
TK - Pinto - Foerster
Laughton - Cates - Tippett

2024:
Farabee - Coots - Brink
TK - Pinto - Forester
Gauthier - Cates - Tippett

Agreed but I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s Laughton moved instead of Atkinson but I think both should probably be gone. I love Laughton but if they can get a 1st for him you have to

I'd be fine with this, but Flyers would definitely need to eat some salary for Ottawa. Maybe Branny now that Staal is hurt. Either Kubalik or Brannstrom would likely come as a part of it.
