I like Tanev, and agreed, he would be a great fit if Buffalo is sniffing a playoff spot.

But...... that really is a gross overpayment.

Jokiharju and a pick would be enticing on it's own I would think - especially given how he has started the season. He is still young with some serious upside; if he didn't Adams would have moved in.

Olofsson with retention nets the Sabres at least a late second if they move him outright.

Certainly a deal Conroy would have to do; but one Adams would never offer.

Sabres love Jokiharju and wouldn't part with him. Tanev would be a great add, maybe Lindgren and and protected 1st could work. Doubtful Sabres move a 1st for a potential rental.

Sabres are not moving so much for half year rental, something really bad would had to happen to d-core to even consider it.
