What are you talking about!? The only thing of value there is the 1st Round Pick. Everybody else is under performing and/or no longer wanted in CLB

Whatever that means. Take in to consideration available contract slots and taking back players the other Team no longer wants

Flames add 3 picks in the Upcoming Draft, 3 Young Prospects, 3 RFAs and 2 Vets with Familiarity to Huberdeau & Weegar and 1 with Familiarity with Tanev and the Swedes and a few replacement level players to make the money and available contract slots work

It’s a lottery pick almost for sure and prospects like Sillinger don’t get traded like ever. Those two are basically automatically off the table

Not when it secures a Star Right Shot Top Line Centre, which is a position of need and will help your Newest Star Johnny Gaudreau justify his contract and when you already have a stable full of better Prospects

Go ahead and suggest a different Prospect than Silinger if you like, but it should be a good one that the Flames can insert in to their lineup and use now

I don’t buy CLB not being interested in Lindholm or them being unwilling to pay to become a playoff team sooner rather than later

Zadorov has value too and could help justify Gudbranson’s contract, which he earned partnered with Big-Z in the 1st place

Ur not getting the world for him he’s going to leave in 6 months anyway. If he is so set on Columbus he can wait til FA to go there. Columbus isn’t ready to break the bank yet anyway.

We’re not letting Lindholm walk for nothing and he’s both an excellent and valuable player, so yeah, we’ll be getting top quality assets for him, which again, other than the 1st there’s none there really

Sure, Sillinger’s still young, but he’s been regressing, not progressing. He’s a Big ? at this point. A change of scenery would likely do him good

Dude he’s been a PPG player 1 time in his career. He’s a great player and a 1C but ur not getting anything crazy for him. Ur definitely not getting a top 10 pick and great prospect for him regardless of what you think lmao.

Thanks for your prediction, but CLB isn’t playing like a bottom feeder team like they were last year and with the additions of Lindholm & Zadorov, they would only get better, so it may not end up being a Top-10 Pick

Lindholm has no Trade Protection and will be highly sought after come the Deadline. We can easily retain 50% on him and/or get a 3rd Team to get him 75% retained to add additional value

We’re simply not letting him walk for nothing in return like Gaudreau did

Sillinger is 20, he could probably use some AHL seasoning, and he's not putting up points, but he has looked okay for the most part. That said, I don't have anything against building a Lindholm package around him, and a package like 2024 1st top-10 protected, Sillinger, and Peeke would be fine imo. He's probably not off the table entirely, but it would take someone like Lindholm to make him available.

The biggest issue is simply that Columbus isn't competing this year. The FO can think otherwise, but the product on the ice just isn't good enough yet, and it's not one Elias Lindholm away from being a playoff team, let alone a contender. So Columbus would be silly to offer much more than Sillinger + 1st + RD for Lindholm, and that package likely gets beat out by a contender looking to add a great 2C at the deadline.

We're simply not willing to pay out that much for a luxury player that doesn't necessarily fit the window when we're not ready to compete and he may be available July 1st anyway.

Also, Texier is totally unavailable for personal reasons (it would jettison any goodwill toward the FO to trade him after what he went through and having him finally come back). And we wouldn't be taking back 2 defenseman in a trade shipping out 2 defensemen...the whole reason they're available is because we have too many. Finally, you'd get more for Zadorov looking elsewhere.
