Canucks shouldnt do this.

lindholm is good but thats not the canucks biggest need and this would cost them all their trade capital

Don't want Garland. We have enough middle 6 forwards as is. If his contract expired this year that would've been fine, but we're not taking on Garland unless someone like Coleman is going the other way.

I have a hard time gauging Lindholm's value, but I think it would be similar to Horvat. I also think that it would likely be a tad higher to a divisional rival.

No way just because we are off to a good start should we start to mortgage the future because of a good 12 game stretch. All canuck fans need to calm down a realize we had streaks like this under Bruce before things came crashing back to earth. We have not proven ourselves to be a cup contender yet and should not be doing short term deals like this.

There's quite a difference between a mid first round pick in 2023 and a late round pick in 2024 IMO. That 2023 pick would be equivalent to a top 10 pick in this year's draft.

I also don't see Garland having any value, and I doubt a team would claim him off waivers, mostly because of the 3 years remaining on that contract.

garland in 2024 and beauvillier in 2023 are a wash. you can't argue one is better or worse than the other. they are only there for cap purposes in the respective trades being dicusses.

raty and Brzustewicz, we will call it a wash. high end prospect who originally was taken outside the 1st round. im not sure which one i would rank ahead of the other at this point

so you're telling me a 2024 first with no protection, a 2nd, and a 3rd, is not worth more than a protected 1st in 2023?

First of all yes, I wouldn't trade Axel Sandin Pellika for a late 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd. Beauvillier and Garland aren't a wash. You have an extra year for Garland. He makes 800k more, produces about the same, and is 2 years older at the time of the supposed trade.

Garland is a better player than Beauvillier full stop. Garland can drive plat, Beauvillier cannot. He was essentially a cap dump in the Horvat trade

Sure call Garland and Beau a wash. I give Beau the edge due to age though but semantics.

Raty was widely considered a top 40-70 prospect in the league. Brtzustewics has had a hot start this year in the O, I would definitely want to see if he can keep it up first as it's still quite early.

Who said anything about whether the pick is protected or not, nearly every 1st is now, most posters on hear simply don't take the time to type that in. And no that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are not worth more than a top 12 protected 13th OA pick

Why would it be higher to a divisional rival. It's a rental. If you trade at of conferenced he can just go to free agency and sign with a rival.

Also that price is very high. Bo is the comp. You could argue Garland, 1st and Hunter. Anything after that is an overpay.

Edit to be clear: that's fair value, they still do don't do it. They don't want him. We already traded Bo.
