I know flames fans have no interest in trading Andersson. But this is a serious package. If someone gets mad at you for this package, that's on them. I understand if they still would decline, but this would have to be highly considered.

That’s a deal you can’t decline. This package gives you super strong foundations to retool/ or fully enter a rebuild. Either way the GM is forced to say yes imo

I think it's a pretty good package. That said, I'm not sure the team would do it. I think that if CGY trades Andersson it would be for a 1st line forward. I could see a deal made around Andersson and Tuch for example.

If we're headed into a rebuild, then it's a great package in my eyes, and I hope the Flames take it. Even if the Flames aren't headed into a rebuild those are a lot of quality pieces that will set the franchise for years to come.

Zero chance Tuch gets moved. Sabres are looking to get pushed over the hump so I think they would only move role players and futures

If anyone's getting mad at this it's sabres fans lol. Ive never seen a fan base overrate someone like flames fans do with andersson, and he's one of my favourite players. This package is bigger than like any trade in the last decade that has seen players far more valuable than andersson and markstrom moved.

Andersson is a terrific player, Markstrom has his moments, this is an insane package. If Andersson is on the block, they never get anywhere near this. If andersson isn't on the block, no team is forcing their hand with this kind of deal.

Yes, I'm aware. Flames fans value Andersson like Buffalo fans value Tuch. That's why we have a hard time parting with him even in hypothetical trades. That said, the writing for a rebuild is pretty much on the wall, so I can see Andersson traded at some point, but I doubt it would be this year. I also mentioned Tuch, because the team is looking for someone to get Huberdeau going, and hasn't yet committed to a rebuild.

Again the package is more than fair IMO, and I think it would set Buffalo back if I'm being honest.

That’s a pretty bad deal for Buffalo especially in the long run. Markstrom is already falling off, and he signed for quite a while. Andersson is great now, but how long is he signed for? Even if this trade gets Buffalo back in the playoffs it’s definitely gonna leave a bad taste in their mouths over time. This is the kind of package a team puts together for a Tkachuk brother. That sort of trade at least might pay off for both sides.

This might just be my biases but, I think Kulich is Olofsson 2.0 and I think Savoi will constantly be injured and never really take off. Markstrom is the type of partner Levi needs to develop and Anderson is on an insane contract.

It’s too soon to know what Kulich or Savoie will turn into. Savoie has only just played his first NHL game, and Kulich hasn’t yet. Both Casey Mittelstadt and Tage Thompson are definitely late bloomers, but look at what both of them are doing right now. The trade could look really good at first and completely blow up in your face a few years down the road.

Take out Markstrom and I will remove Kulich and Olofsson and add Rosen for Andersson

Andersson is signed for 2 more years after this one at 4.55mill I believe. If he somehow becomes available he would be my focus.
